Origin: Central and South America
Sunlight: I prefer bright, indirect light but will tolerate light shade. Avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch my leaves, turning me with every water to help even growth.
Temperature: Ideally I like being placed at room temperature, however can withstand cooler temperatures for short periods of time.
Growth: In my native environment I can grow up to 18m in height, however when I’m grown indoors, my height will be controlled by my pot size.
Toxicity: I’m Pet Friendly.
Watering: The surface of my soil should be allowed to dry out in between watering. This can occur quite frequently during the warm spring and summer months, so water me evenly until water starts to drip from drainage holes. Once this happens, allow the excess to drain away to avoid roots standing in water causing root rot.
Feed: General houseplant feed every month during the spring and summer period to help support my growth.
